Jeff Iwanicki, 45, of Milford was arrested last year after a 15-year-old student told police that he had twice exposed himself to her in the multipurpose room where he teaches graphic design. Police said that the student reported that Iwanicki had exposed himself to her on Nov. 2, 2016 and Dec. 6, 2016.

Iwanicki is still awaiting trial on the criminal charges, according to the Connecticut Post.
Following the accusations, the Board of Education appointed Frederick Ward III to act as an arbitrator and investigate the incidents, according to the Connecticut Post. After investigating and conducting interviews, Ward reported to the Board of Education that the police investigation was insufficient and the girl was not credible, according to the Connecticut Post.
Iwanicki denied that the exposures happened, and other students investigated that they were in the room at the time they are supposed to have taken place and did not see anything, the Connecticut Post reported.
In his report, Ward told the Board of Education that Iwanicki should not be fired, according to the Connecticut Post.
